چکیده

Balticeler kerneggeri gen. nov. , sp. is described based on six fossil specimens preserved in Eocene Baltic amber and imaged using light microscopy X-ray micro-computed tomography. Based certain characters observed the species it considered a “middle grade” Carabidae, outside of large family Harpalinae (as possesses scrobal seta, lack which synapomorphy that subfamily), but possessing four synapomorphies indicate belongs to clade carabids including (anisochaetous Grade B antennal cleaner, conjunct mesocoxae, closed procoxal cavities, well-developed external lobe metepimeron). This remarkable beetle has several striking features, externally-visible sexually dimorphic characters, lateral borders pronotum, very long thin mandibles maxillae. In combination, these states are unique within Carabidae. We consider presence dorsally completely open aedeagal median as with subfamily Trechinae, pubescent relatively second antennomere 4+2+2 pattern umbilicate setae supertribe Trechitae, quadrisetose clypeus Trechitae Bembidarenini + Trechini sensu Maddison et al. (2019). As lacks Trechini, we propose member stem group clade.

Fossil carabids from Baltic amber--III--Tarsitachys bilobus Erwin, 1971 an interesting fossil ground beetle from Baltic amber (Coleoptera: Carabidae: Trechinae): Redescription and comments on its taxonomic placement.

Tarsitachys bilobus (Coleoptera, Carabidae) is a fossil species described by Erwin from Baltic amber. Its description was based on only one known specimen, and thus, part of its anatomical structures were unknown as they were poorly preserved in the Holotype. In this paper we complete the description with a second specimen. A new placement among Tachyina and a new status for the genus are propo...

In the current paper the first fossil representatives of leaf-beetles from the subfamily Lamprosomatinae (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) are described and illustrated from Upper Eocene Baltic amber: Succinoomorphus warchalowskii gen. et sp. nov., Archelamprosomius balticus gen. et sp. nov., and Archelamprosomius kirejtshuki sp. nov. A key to fossil Lamprosomatinae is provided.

Sucinolivolia torpida--a new genus and species of flea-beetles (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Galerucinae) from Baltic amber.

Sucinolivolia torpida gen. nov. et sp. nov. (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Galerucinae: Alticini) is described and illustrated from Eocene Baltic amber. The new monotypic genus is compared with fossil and extant flea-beetle genera. Sucinolivolia gen. nov. is similar to the extant Livolia Jacoby and Orthaltica Crotch, but difference include the absence of an antebasal pronotal sulcus, not crenulate...
